Over the years we have positioned ourselves as a leader in all things aluminium. With time came an expansion of our core offerings to include not only aluminium but stainless steel, mild steel and speciality alloys.
The Aluminium Trading timeline.
1996
Aluminium Trading was founded on January 20th, 1996 by Christopher Lenferna and Tony Broekhuizen. Initially, the company operated from a shared warehouse, before eventually moving into an exclusive property roughly the size of a double garage.
1998
Aluminium Trading purchased some of its first professional service related equipment including a table saw and guillotine. The year of 1998 also saw the company get its first ‘Big Break’ with a team of no more than four people working day and night for four weeks cutting heavy aluminium plates to size.
1999
The turn of the century was a period of transition for Aluminium Trading. With the purchase of a bending brake and new welding and punching equipment, Aluminium Trading started completing jobs internally that were previously outsourced. The years following saw the company further increase its internal service offerings with the purchase of laser and water jet cutting machinery.
2004
With increased demand Aluminium Trading started to change its focus from only Aluminium to include all non-ferrous metals. With the addition of sophisticated laser and water jet cutting machinery in 2008, it became clear that the business would require more modern machinery in other areas. Digital cutting and bending machines were purchased to provide highly precise solutions to customers in all service offerings.
2018
Between the years 2014 and 2018 Aluminium Trading purchased a new modern Water Jet Cutting machine and a variety of modern office and factory equipment to further increase its service offerings. The company launched its new, modern website in September 2018 and continues to develop new ways to meet and exceed customer expectations.
